We work hard to get things right, and we fix what we get wrong. Here is how to report an error and what we do with it.

How to report an error

Email [email protected] with the page address, what you believe is wrong and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information. Law firms can use the same address to correct facts about their firm.

What happens next

  1. We check it

We compare the report with our sources and with any source you send.

  2. We fix it

If the page is wrong, we correct it. If a list's ranking depended on the error, we rescore the affected firms under the methodology.

  3. We note it

For a material error, such as a wrong deadline, a wrong dollar amount or a wrong fact about a firm, we add a dated correction note to the page.

  4. We reply

We let you know what we found.

What counts as a correction

A correction fixes a factual error. Routine updates, such as new reviews or a refreshed list, are reflected in the updated date and are not marked as corrections.

What we will not change on request

We do not remove accurate, sourced information because a firm dislikes it, and we do not change scores in exchange for payment. A firm that believes it was scored on wrong facts can send the right facts, and we will rescore it under the published methodology.
