We use AI tools to research and write faster and at a scale a small team could not reach alone. This policy explains where AI helps, where it is not allowed, and what checks every page passes.
Where we use AI
- Research assistance: finding candidate law firms, gathering sources and pulling facts such as offices, lawyers and published results out of the pages we collect
- Drafting: writing first drafts of lists, guides and articles from the verified sources we give it
- Checks: helping confirm that each claim in a draft matches its source
- Illustrations: some page illustrations are made with AI image tools in our house style
Rules AI must follow
- Never add a fact, number or quote that is not in our sources
- Never invent a person, a byline, a credential or a review
- Never create an image that looks like a photograph of a real person
- Never describe a lawyer as a specialist or an expert, and never promise an outcome
- Never override the published scoring rubric
Checks on every page
Sourced drafting
Drafts are written only from sources we have collected and checked.
Automated quality checks
Every list and article passes automated checks before it is published: sources present, links working, restricted words absent, length in range, and not too similar to sibling pages.
Readability review
Every draft is checked for writing that reads as formulaic or machine-made, and those passages are rewritten until the page reads plainly.
Held if it fails
A page that fails a check is held, not published.
