Featured placement for law firms

An annual placement that shows your firm first on the list for your market, labeled Featured. Here's what's included and what we ask of featured firms.

Be the first lawyer people see when they're looking for help

People come to Malpractice Center after something has gone wrong with their care. A featured spot puts your card at the top of the list for your market, with your photo, your story and a way to reach you.

  • Shown first on the list, labeled Featured
  • Case review requests from readers in your market
  • One flat fee a year, never a share of any case

Each list has one featured spot. See which are open where you practice.

We confirm every spot by email before anything is billed.

What your card looks like

Every list and every state page has exactly one featured spot. Your card sits above the scored list, with your photo, your story and three ways to reach you. When the spot is taken, it's taken for the year.

The small Featured label opens a note that featured firms pay to appear first. Every other position comes from our scoring.

How it works

  1. Step 1: Pick your markets

Choose the cities, practice areas or whole regions where you want to be seen first.

  2. Step 2: We confirm the spot

We check it's open, send the yearly price for each market and answer your questions.

  3. Step 3: You go live

Your card shows first on those lists, labeled Featured. Case review requests from readers come straight to you.

Ask about a spot

Tell us where you practice. We'll reply within two business days with what's open and the price for each market.

Every featured card carries a Featured badge. It opens one line for readers: featured firms are Malpractice Center partners who appear first in their market, and the rest of the list comes from our review.

Featured placement request

Which placement?

Pick up to 20. Each one is a separate yearly placement.

A flat yearly fee, labeled Featured on the page. Never a share of any case.

A featured placement is advertising, and we label it that way. For one flat fee a year, your firm is the first lawyer on the list for each market you choose, with your photo, your bio and a way for readers to reach you.

Where your card shows

  • City lists: first on the list for a city you choose
  • Practice area lists: first on a focused list, such as birth injury or wrongful death in one city
  • State and province lists: first on the list for the whole region, and in the top five on its law guide
  • Each list has one featured spot

What's on your card

  • A small Featured label
  • Your photo, name, title and firm
  • A short bio and up to three credentials, in your words
  • Your phone number, your website and a Free case review button

Case review requests

When someone in your market uses our free case review and agrees to be contacted, the request goes to you. We can't say how many requests a market will bring, and we don't charge per request, per case or per signed client.

How disclosure works

One line sits under every featured card: your firm pays to appear first on lists in its market, and every other position comes from our scoring. It links to our disclosures, which name every featured partner, and our methodology explains the spot to readers.

If your firm also earned a scored position on a list, we show it once, in the featured spot.

  • An active license in good standing for every lawyer named on the card
  • Medical malpractice work shown on your own website
  • Card content that follows your bar or law society's advertising rules; you're responsible for that
  • Accurate information, which we may check before the card goes live

We may decline a placement, and we don't offer one to a firm with public discipline we consider serious.

Questions lawyers ask

How long does a placement last?
One year for each market, at a flat fee.
Can I take more than one market?
Yes. Each market is its own placement, and you can mix city lists, practice area lists and whole states or provinces.
We're already on a list. What changes if we're featured?
You move to the first spot, labeled Featured, with your photo and bio. We don't show a firm twice, so your scored entry comes off that list while you're featured.
Can you promise a number of case review requests?
No. Requests depend on your market and on how many readers there ask to be contacted, so we don't promise a number.
Who writes the bio on my card?
You do. We check it's accurate before it goes live, and you're responsible for following your bar or law society's advertising rules.
Do you take a share of fees or settlements?
No. It's one flat fee a year. We never take a share of any case, and we aren't a lawyer referral service.
